SALEM LAKES, Wis. (WFRV) – A 49-year-old Wisconsin woman was killed Monday night in a motorcycle crash near County Highway C in Wisconsin.
Deputies said the crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. in the 27400 block of County Highway C (Wilmot Road) at the intersection with 274th Avenue in Salem Lakes.

The woman, the sole rider of a motorcycle traveling west on County Highway C, collided with an SUV that was heading east and attempting to turn left onto 274th Avenue. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the SUV, and the rider suffered severe injuries.
She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
The driver of the SUV and two passengers were not hurt. All remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities said speed does not appear to have been a factor for either driver.

The woman’s name has not yet been released, pending notification of family. The sheriff’s office extended its condolences to those affected by the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
