WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – A large joint operation in Wisconsin led to over 100 traffic stops in a single day and numerous arrests for drug offenses and of wanted individuals.
Multiple in Outagamie & Winnebago Counties arrested including alleged armed bank robber
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the joint effort was with the county’s Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Unit and Germantown Police Department on Wednesday evening to identify and discourage criminal activity in ‘key’ traffic areas in the southern portion of the county.
Deputies and officers coordinated efforts to identify and find criminal activity, from drug offenses to wanted fugitives.
The following incidents were specifically identified as ‘primary cases’:
Washington County Sheriff’s Office:
- A deputy tried to stop a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman with a suspended registration; however, she didn’t yield and led to a pursuit. The woman was arrested after a PIT maneuver.
- She was for fleeing, bail jumping, operating after revocation and violating ignition interlock device laws.
- A deputy stopped a vehicle for violating registration laws, and K9 Razor alerted the deputy to possible narcotics, leading to the discovery of 2.9 grams of cocaine, 3.6 grams of a mix of fentanyl and cocaine and 3.7 grams of meth.
- The driver, a 40-year-old De Pere man, was arrested for multiple drug offenses and bail jumping.
- A deputy pulled a vehicle over due to ‘excessive’ window tint, and the scent of THC led to a search and citation, along with another citation for improper child restraints as a 1-year-old was found unsecured.
Germantown Police Department:
- An officer pulled over a driver who was arrested for possession of meth and THC.
- An officer stopped a vehicle, locating cocaine paraphernalia. The driver, identified as a man, was also reportedly hiding a crack cocaine rock in his mouth.
- Two separate cases of a passenger being arrested on an active warrant.

“These interdiction details send a clear message and visual deterrent to those who choose to traffic drugs or engage in criminal behavior in our communities — Washington County is not a place to conduct your business,” Sheriff Martin Schulteis said in the release.
The operation led to 105 traffic stops, eight felony charges, six misdemeanor charges and three warrant arrests.
