Court records show that 35-year-old Angela Wiercinski appeared in court with an attorney, as the defense waived its right to a preliminary hearing.
The charges stem from a criminal complaint filed in October, which alleges that officers were sent to her home on State Street late at night on October 9 for reported physical interactions with her kids.
Three children reportedly came out and spoke to officers, telling police that their mother was yelling and had hit one of them. According to the complaint, officers said the home smelled heavily of cat urine, feces and rotten food.
In addition, officers reported significant garbage piles, empty beer cans, dirty clothes, and dirty diapers scattered throughout the house.
