The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
Light snow developed last night and created the dusting to 0.5″ of snow that was anticipated. In addition to run the shovels around in a few communities, it’s possible your morning commute may be a bit slippery, especially on less traveled roads.
The colder-than-normal temperatures are going to continue for a while, but you can bet we will get a little warmer by the end of the month. This weekend and the first days of February showing average temperatures in the 20s will come back to Wisconsin as the jet stream pattern over the nation shifts a bit.
A mix of sun and clouds with brisk, nasty winds again Tuesday. A chance of flurries is there but not as likely as last night. Wind chills will be -5 to -15 degrees all day because of this NW wind, gusting up to 25 or 30 miles per hour. The high is around 10 degrees in the afternoon.
Tuesday night will show us stars and a few thin clouds. Plan on another cold night with a low of -3 and wind chills approaching -15 degrees overnight.
Cold weather stays Wednesday with sub-zero wind chills. The high is 9 degrees with partly sunny skies, another small chance for flurries.
Thursday will be partly sunny with a high of 11 degrees.
14 degrees on Friday as temperatures start to shift to the warmer.
21 degrees on Saturday with mostly sunny skies.
The high jumps to 24 degrees on Sunday with a chance for late day snow showers.
