(WFRV) – Any number of troubles can arise in the winter months relating to vehicles and the cold temperatures, but have you had to scrape frost from the inside of your windshield or windows? If so, the Wisconsin State Patrol has provided a necessary prevention tip.

“Ever find yourself scraping frost off the inside of your vehicle’s windows?” a Facebook post from the Wisconsin State Patrol began by asking an important question to Wisconsinites.

If the answer is yes, then authorities suggest looking for a specific button in your vehicle, the ‘recirculating air’ button.
If the inside of your windows is generating frost, then there is a good chance that the recirculating air button is on.
The fix? Turn the recirculation off and use the normal defrosting options for clearer windows.
