ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) – A fatal crash around 5 p.m. in Ashwaubenon on Friday has left a 17-year-old girl dead and a 69-year-old pickup truck driver in custody for allegedly operating while intoxicated.
According to Ashwaubenon Public Safety, the crash occurred around 5 p.m. Friday when a pickup truck driven by a 69-year-old Luxemburg man was heading east on Lombardi Avenue, striking a sedan turning south onto Holmgren Way.

The sedan driver, a 45-year-old Green Bay man, had his 17-year-old daughter as a passenger. The 45-year-old man was hospitalized with suspected injuries, while his daughter sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
A witness said the pickup truck driver ran a red light, with alcohol a suspected factor, as he was arrested for an OWI. Officials say the intersection will remain closed during the investigation.
