The Latest from Storm Team 5…
Good morning and happy first day of February! We are starting off with sunshine this morning, but expect an increase in clouds throughout the day, especially this afternoon. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 20s today aided by an increasing southwest wind between 10-15 mph, a few gusts to 20 mph.
A weak disturbance will bring a chance of scattered, on and off snow this evening into the overnight hours. Snow amounts wont be much, staying under 1″ but could cause a few spots to be slippery tomorrow morning.
Monday will start mostly cloudy, but a mix of sun and clouds is expected as we head into the afternoon. We will keep the seasonal highs around in the mid 20s. It may get a bit breezy from time to time, but overall the wind should not be much of a factor.
Mostly sunny but a bit cooler for Tuesday and Wednesday with highs around 20 degrees. Watching a system for late Thursday into Friday that could bring some snow to the area, which will then be followed up by a strong wind and another round of colder air.
