CEDARBURG, Wis. (WFRV) – Multiple people are now without a home following a fire in Wisconsin Saturday night that required about 20 agencies to respond in order to put out the flames.
According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office, crews responded at 10:39 p.m. to the 500 block of Beechwood Drive in the Town of Cedarburg for reports of a fire.
Officers with the Cedarburg Police Department were the first to arrive at the home and attempted to put out the fire, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
Several other agencies in the area, including multiple fire departments, were called in for assistance with the fire eventually being knocked down and extinguished.
Officials with the Cedarburg Fire Department say it took 2 hours to put out the flames, as there were no available fire hydrants in the area for crews to use. Over 75,000 gallons were used to put out the fire.
