GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A federal jury convicted a 29-year-old Green Bay man on drug trafficking charges Tuesday after deliberating for less than 15 minutes.
Ricky Q. Chambers, also known as “Goldi,” was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and distribution of fentanyl. According to court records, prosecutors said the brief deliberation reflected the strength of the evidence presented at trial.

Evidence showed Chambers frequently traveled to Phoenix, Arizona, where he purchased large quantities of fentanyl pills. Investigators said he then shipped the drugs to cities across the Midwest before distributing them in Green Bay.
On July 25, 2024, law enforcement officers in Minneapolis intercepted a package sent by Chambers that contained more than 55,000 fentanyl pills.
Prosecutors also presented evidence that Chambers spent thousands of dollars on luxury travel and expensive jewelry. Jurors viewed photos and videos showing Chambers displaying large amounts of cash, including tens of thousands of dollars. In some of the videos, agents testified that serial numbers on the bills matched prerecorded currency used in controlled fentanyl purchases linked to Chambers.
Testimony during the trial indicated that highly connected traffickers can purchase fentanyl pills in Phoenix for as little as 50 cents per pill and resell them in Green Bay for up to $20 per pill. An expert witness also testified that seven out of 10 fentanyl pills tested at DEA crime laboratories contained a potentially lethal dose.

Chambers is scheduled to be sentenced on May 11, 2026. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and could receive a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
