The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
We have high temperature records for February 16th dating back 1921 and 1981, many of which will get tied or broken this afternoon with another round of 50 degree weather.
A complex weather system will roll in to our area Tuesday evening into Wednesday. We are happy to report that 80% of the area will just get a light to moderate rainfall (thunder???) from this, while counties to the north (and northern Door Co.) will get mixed precipitation and snow. The mix could bring any type of winter weather, from rain, to freezing rain, sleet, and even snowflakes.
The National Weather Service tells Storm Team 5 that a Winter Weather Advisory is likely to come out for the northwoods in anticipation for slippery travel from ice or snow.
