NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – Recent unseasonably warm temperatures didn’t stop the fun from being has on the ice in downtown Neenah on Monday.
The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center hosted ‘Broadway on Ice’ from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at The Plaza in downtown Neenah to help promote its upcoming Broadway show, ‘Kimberly Akimbo.’
Despite temperatures reaching up into the 50s, chillers were able to keep the rink frozen as families were able to skate out on the ice to a Broadway-themed playlist.
We’re celebrating Kimberly Akimbo, it’s a Broadway musical, Tony Award-winning musical coming here March 3 through March 8. One of the major scenes in the musical is this ice skating rink. It kind of ties into the goal of staying forever young and kind of that escapism that ice skating provides.

The event also gave students who were off from school for President’s Day a perfect excuse to hit the ice, even if they had to dodge a few puddles.
