OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – For ice fishers looking forward to fishing on the ice for the Battle on Bago, you’ll unfortunately have to wait.
Organizers announced on Facebook late on Wednesday night that while the overall event is still greenlit, the ice fishing portion is canceled because of the deteriorating ice conditions.

Officials say the safety concern was too great when accessing the Lake Winnebago System, and that it is too important.
The Menominee Park event will still continue on February 20 and February 21, however, with plenty of activities and fun, including a Friday Fish Fry.
