GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – On Broadway Inc. hosted its annual State of the Broadway event Tuesday morning, outlining progress and future plans for the Broadway District in Green Bay.
The nonprofit organization reported that 725,000 individuals visited the district in 2025, generating approximately 2.6 million total trips. Visitors spent an average of 92 minutes in the district, and 44% of visits originated from residents’ homes.

Officials also provided updates on several major development projects. Phase one at Leicht Park has broken ground and is expected to be completed in spring 2026. Progress continues on the Green Bay Public Market, The Shipyard development and the former Badger Sheet Metal site.
“This annual event is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when businesses, residents and community partners work together with a shared vision,” said Brian Johnson, president and CEO of On Broadway. “From infrastructure improvements to tens of millions in private investments and signature events that draw hundreds of thousands of visitors, the momentum is real.”
During the event, On Broadway recognized community members through its Volunteer of the Year and Paul Jadin Impact Award honors.
Mai Nu Vang was named Volunteer of the Year, an award recognizing a dedicated volunteer who consistently exceeds expectations in service to the organization.
Appleton Parks & Rec Department hosting ‘Mom Prom’
The Paul Jadin Impact Award was presented to Ben Cadman and Celeste Parins, co-owners of Voyageurs Bakehouse, for their contributions to the Broadway District. The award honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment and meaningful impact within the district.
Organizers said they remain focused on building a vibrant and inclusive district that supports Green Bay’s economic and cultural growth.
