GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A beloved Green Bay volunteer known as “Cat Grandpa Terry” is gaining national attention after being featured on CBS’ “On the Road with Steve Hartman.”
The segment highlighted Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary and 81-year-old volunteer Terry Laureman, who has become an unlikely internet star for napping alongside cats at the sanctuary.

Safe Haven, which specializes in caring for special needs cats, has embraced Laureman’s popularity by creating merchandise including calendars and a coffee mug featuring a local blend inspired by “Cat Grandpa Terry.”
Sanctuary officials say the funds have allowed the organization to expand its services and continue providing specialized care for cats in need.
