(WFRV) – Police in Wisconsin say an investigation is underway after one person was shot and killed early Saturday morning.
According to a release from the Sauk Prairie Police Department, officers responded at 3:06 a.m. to a home on the 600 block of 21st Street in the village of Prairie du Sac for reports of a person with a gunshot wound.

Upon arrival at the scene, police entered the home and confirmed that one person was dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Officers say the victim’s name is not being released at this time, as the investigation into the incident remains ongoing. They add that an autopsy for the victim is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, with investigators hoping to uncover more details of the incident.
