The Twin Lakes Police Department released body camera footage of the response coordinated by Dispatcher Stacy Baumeister, who was on her first full day on solo assignment after completing training the day before.
The fire was reported just after 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of Matthew Avenue, with officers immediately finding flames coming from the kitchen, with dogs inside. Officers had not yet determined if people were inside.
According to the release, Officer Robinson quickly entered with a fire extinguisher from his vehicle, putting out the flames before they spread further. Two additional officers, Hanson and Kips, helped to find and rescue the three dogs from the home, all of whom made it out safely.
