MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – Following a report of a possible child abduction on Thursday afternoon, officers clarified the incident as a “misunderstanding between juveniles.”
According to a release from the Manitowoc Police Department sent out on Friday morning, following an investigation into the possible abduction around Union Park at 3:45 p.m., officers determined it was a misunderstanding.
“The Manitowoc Police Department thanks those who called, and the understanding of the parents involved,” the release noted.
Police, fire presence at Green Bay art studio for reported ‘fire call’
Officers were initially called to the 500 block of North 7th Street for reports that a man tried to grab a child and chased them as they rode away on a scooter.
