WALWORTH COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) says it has staff on site to monitor a manure spill in Walworth County.
According to a release, staff visited the site of Merry-Water Farms on Friday after rainfall around a recent manure application. Department of Natural Resources staff reportedly noticed manure running off farm fields in Linn, entering Geneva Lake.

The manure discharge was reportedly entering from an unnamed tributary at the lake’s south end, as DNR staff urge people to avoid anything that could lead to incidental water consumption from Geneva Lake or the unnamed tributary.
Officials are on site to monitor while the farm addresses the incident. Click here for more information on manure spills.
