(WFRV) – Authorities in southern Wisconsin said a driver was going nearly double the posted 55 mph speed limit, all because he was trying to get to work on time.
The Stoughton Police Department posted on its Facebook page about a recent traffic stop that happened during the early hours of March 10.

Officers were reportedly monitoring traffic on HWY N on Tuesday when a driver was stopped for going 106 mph in a 55 mph zone.
The driver, only identified as an adult man, told the officer that he was trying to get to work on time, the release said.
It was mentioned that due to the time it took for the officer to complete the citation, the driver was late anyway.
There was no information on how many citations were handed out, or if the driver was arrested.
