STURTEVANT, Wis. (WFRV) – Over 400 employees at a food distribution facility in southern Wisconsin are set to lose their jobs in the summer after the company announced it would close its building.
According to a March 16 letter from United Natural Foods, Inc. to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD), the company is closing its building in Sturtevant, leading to 443 layoffs.

The majority of employees laid off are listed as selectors (109) and lift operators (82). 49 delivery drivers will be laid off as well.
The letter says that the eliminations will begin on June 20, with a 14-day period, and continue through a 14-day period beginning on August 1.
