(WFRV) – In its first-ever state tournament appearance, the Appleton North boys basketball team fell to undefeated Wisconsin Lutheran 68-61 in the semifinal, capping a historic season.
The Lightning left it all on the floor against the top-ranked, two-time defending champions. Appleton North shot 51.2% from the field and 38.9% from three, with Nathan Ramus leading the way with 20 points in the final game of his senior career.
Appleton North finishes the season 24-5, earning its first conference title share and making its first trip to state.
