(WFRV) – In its first state appearance since its historic 2023 run, De Pere fell in the semifinal to Madison Memorial, which delivered a record-tying shooting performance.
The Redbirds trailed by just one at halftime despite Madison Memorial hitting 63.6% from three. The Spartans stayed scorching in the second half, tying a Division 1 state record with 12 made three-pointers (12-for-17) in a 75-62 win.
Senior Jack Bookter led De Pere with 19 points in the final game of his high school career, while junior Will Krueger added 13.
De Pere finishes the season 25-4 with a conference title and a trip to the Kohl Center.
