(WFRV) – Police in Wisconsin are praising the collaboration between multiple agencies, as they say it played a crucial part in safely stopping a reckless vehicle and an impaired driver.
According to a release from the Pleasant Prairie Police Department, Wisconsin State troopers and deputies from the Racine County Sheriff’s Office were recently in pursuit of a vehicle that had fled from another agency.

Officials say the driver of the suspect vehicle was believed to be impaired, and safely ending the pursuit while minimizing any risk to the public was a top priority in the situation.
As the pursuit entered into Pleasant Prairie, officers with the police department successfully deployed tire deflation devices at two separate locations, causing the suspect vehicle to eventually lose control, crash into a median, and come to a stop.
troopers from the Wisconsin State Patrol arrested the driver. Three other passengers were said to be taken into custody and were released a short time later.
Incidents like these highlight the importance of strong interagency collaboration and a shared commitment to public safety. We are grateful the situation was resolved without further risk to the community.
