According to a release, the Emergency Department to Recovery (ED2Recovery+) program will be expanded to two additional Wisconsin hospitals to help people on their journey to recovery.
The program offers patients who arrive at the emergency room for substance use purposes a chance to work with recovery coaches through a partnership with Apricity, a recovery nonprofit that provides treatment, employment and transitional programs.
“Addressing substance use disorders requires more than treating the immediate medical emergency. It demands strong community partnerships and a true continuum of care,” Director of Community Health Improvement Paula Morgen said via a release.
