MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – A 20-year-old Manitowoc man has died after being found at the bottom of Lake Michigan near the Manitowoc Lighthouse.
According to the Manitowoc Police Department, officers were dispatched shortly before 1:30 p.m. on March 29 to the area of the lighthouse for a missing persons complaint.

Preliminary information indicated the man may have entered Lake Michigan and disappeared. Authorities launched an extensive search involving multiple agencies in the area where he was last believed to be.
Shortly before 12:30 p.m. on March 30, the man’s body was located at the bottom of the lake.
Heavy police presence reported in Howard neighborhood
Police say there are no indications of foul play at this time and no threat to the community. The incident is believed to be isolated.
