OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – A family dog is dead following a mobile home fire in Oshkosh on Monday evening.
According to the Oshkosh Fire Department, crews were dispatched to the 900 block of Sunnyview Road shortly before 5:30 p.m. for a report of a structure fire.

When firefighters arrived, they found a mobile home with smoke visible from windows on two sides of the structure. Officials say the occupants were not home at the time of the fire.
The family dog died in the incident.

Authorities report the home sustained heavy smoke and fire damage. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature.
The incident remains under investigation.
