Nearly one year after a third-place finish at nationals, UW-Oshkosh stormed back to win the 2026 NCGA Championship on March 20 in Cortland, New York, posting a 194.750 team score — the third-highest in program history.
The title marks the program’s eighth all-time national championship and fourth in the last five years, continuing a dynasty run under Head Coach Lauren Karnitz.
Karnitz said her group separated itself with its mindset and relentless work ethic, believing all season that another title was within reach as long as they fully committed to what she called ‘the standard.’
“I don’t know that we were necessarily the best team, like we’re good, but [this team] they just had a different characteristic, they had a different mindset, and I knew that if they decided that they wanted it, they were going to get it,” Karnitz said.
