KENOSHA, Wis. (WFRV) – Police in southern Wisconsin say they are searching for a person of interest after a woman was found dead in a home on Wednesday.

According to a release from the Kenosha Police Department, officers responded to a home on the 7400 block of 22nd Avenue, where one woman was found dead. Police were quickly able to identify a person of interest who they believe may still be in the area. Officials are now asking for the public’s help in locating 33-year-old Marckus Plaza.
Plaza is described as an African American man standing at 5’6″ tall and weighing about 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark-colored sweatpants and a white tank top. Officers believe Plaza is on foot but could be seeking transportation out of the area. They add that he has known ties to the City of Kenosha community and to Lake Geneva.

Police advise using caution in the area of 75th Street and 22nd Avenue. Anyone who sees Plaza is asked to immediately call 911.
No other information is available, and the name of the victim is not being released at this time.
