GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A pair of former Green Bay Gamblers are officially NHL-bound after signing their entry-level contracts.
Timber Rattlers gear up for 2026 season with plenty of potential
The Gamblers posted on Facebook on Friday afternoon to congratulate goalie Adam Gajan and forward Matt DiMarsico, as they signed with the Chicago Blackhawks and Colorado Avalanche, respectively.
Gajan, who played two seasons with the Gamblers from 2022-2024, will now head to the Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate, the Rockford Icehogs. The 21-year-old played 49 games with the Gamblers, most of which came in 2023-24.
The Slovakian goalie spent the last two years with the University of Minnesota-Duluth, making 54 appearances, and he was drafted with the No. 35 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft by Chicago.

DiMarsico spent one season in Green Bay (2022-23), recording 46 points (25 goals, 21 assists) in 59 games, before heading off to Penn State, where he recorded an even 100 points in three seasons for the Nittany Lions.
The 22-year-old forward from Pennsylvania earned a contract with the Colorado Avalanche, the NHL’s top team; however, he’ll head to their AHL affiliate to join the Colorado Eagles on a playoff push.
