OSCEOLA, Wis. (WFRV) – A 57-year-old Wisconsin woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after suffering a medical event while driving Monday morning.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called shortly before 11 a.m. to U.S. Highway 45 in the Township of Osceola for a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash.

Initial reports indicated the driver was trapped inside the vehicle and unresponsive. When authorities arrived, they removed the woman from the vehicle and found she was not breathing.
Deputies performed CPR, and the woman began breathing on her own shortly after. A ThedaStar medical helicopter was requested but was unable to respond due to inclement weather. She was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators determined the Kewaskum woman, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 45 when she left the roadway, struck a driveway embankment and overturned.
Authorities believe a medical event caused her to lose control of the vehicle.

U.S. Highway 45 was closed between County Highway F and County Highway W for approximately 45 minutes. The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted with traffic control.
The crash remains under investigation. No further update on the woman’s condition has been released.
