KINNICKINNIC, Wis. (WFRV) – A Wisconsin farm is recovering after a catastrophic barn fire killed three dogs and numerous farm animals early Tuesday morning.
According to the River Falls Fire Department, crews were dispatched around 1:30 a.m. to a reported barn fire near County Road M in the Town of Kinnickinnic.

When firefighters arrived, they found the barn fully engulfed in heavy fire and smoke. Crews immediately began suppression efforts and worked to bring the blaze under control. Due to the intensity of the fire, additional mutual aid was requested.
Firefighters remained on scene until shortly before 6:15 a.m. to complete extinguishment and overhaul operations.
The farm later shared on social media that three of its dogs and numerous farm animals died in the fire.

A GoFundMe has been established to help the farm recover from the loss. The owners say community support has already been overwhelming.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
