FITCHBURG, Wis. (WFRV) – Police in Wisconsin say they are investigating several recent instances of racist and profane graffiti markings on both public and private properties.
According to a release from the Fitchburg Police Department, the graffiti was found Thursday morning on bike paths, residential fences, mailboxes, and street signs in the neighborhoods of Lacy Heights and Seminole Forest, specifically on the bike path and homes between Lacy Road and Schumann Drive, and between Endive Drive and Persimmon Drive.

Police are asking residents in the area to review any of their surveillance or doorbell camera footage from April 8 at 5:00 p.m. through April 9 at 8:30 a.m. for any suspicious activity related to this incident.
Officials say any recordings of any suspicious people or activity could be valuable to the investigation, even if it does not appear that way.
