MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WFRV) – An 18-year-old man and a juvenile were taken into custody Thursday night after officers responded to a report of a gunshot in Wisconsin.
According to the Marshfield Police Department, officers were dispatched shortly after 7:15 p.m. to the intersection of N. Hume Avenue and E. Fillmore Street for a report of a gunshot.

During the investigation, officers learned an altercation had occurred between two groups of individuals. A 16-year-old boy sustained minor injuries during the incident and was transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities say his injuries were not caused by a firearm discharge.
An 18-year-old Marshfield man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges are being referred to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

Another juvenile boy was also taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree recklessly endangering safety.
Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active, and anyone with information is asked to contact local authorities.
