The latest from Storm Team 5…
Your Thursday evening is on the right track with temperatures in the mid 60s and clearing skies. This will continue into the overnight hours where night time lows drop to the lower 40s. Dense fog will build overnight but will clear Friday morning as we see breezy but dry morning conditions.
Friday afternoon takes a bit of a turn. Highs will be near 70 degrees but we also welcome potential for some severe storms. The window for this system begins shortly after noon and ends shortly after midnight. With thunderstorms we see the potential for heavy rainfall, hail, and damaging winds. Recent modeling is showing potential for 1-2 inches of rainfall for areas from Waupaca to Shawano. The Storm Prediction Center has also enhanced the concern for a Spin Up Tornado risk, this mainly applies to Central Wisconsin. This mainly affects Green Lake, Marquette, Waushara, and Waupaca counties. This does not mean That other counties in northeast Wisconsin should not be prepared.

Saturday is the beginning of a much needed dry stretch. We return to cooler temperatures in the mid 40s but they will slowly warm back to the mid to upper 60s as we reach the middle of the work week.
