FREMONT, Wis. (WFRV) – Residents of Fremont are being asked to evacuate due to flooding.
The Village of Fremont posted on Facebook saying the Waupaca County Emergency Management and the Fremont Fire Department are recommending that residents evacuate.
“This is precautionary but a serious measure for your safety,” the post reads. “Road access may become limited or unsafe due to rising water with little warning. Consider your evacuation route. If you have mobility concerns, do not delay. We strongly encourage residents to stay with family or friends until the threat has passed. Pets are not being accepted at the shelter. Take your medications, phone chargers, and any essential items.”
