Madison Police Chief John Patterson said the crowd was the largest they’ve seen in the last several years.
Students reportedly arrived in the area around 11 a.m. on April 25.
As of 7 p.m. on Saturday night, 37 people were arrested. Authorities say most of the arrests were alcohol-related or fighting. Of those arrested, 29 were cited and released, while the other eight were sent to the Dane County Jail.
In regards to the six firearms that were recovered, Chief Patterson said, ‘This is concerning. Firearms don’t belong at Mifflin.’
