TROY, Wis. (WFRV) – A 50-year-old man from Oklahoma was arrested in southern Wisconsin for homicide after he allegedly hit and killed a pedestrian on Highway 20 Thursday morning.
Deputies with the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office say they got a 911 call around 9:50 a.m. on April 30 reporting an unresponsive man lying in the middle of Highway 20 and Townline Road in Troy.
Shortly after, more 911 calls came in to dispatch reporting that it was a westbound vehicle on Highway 20 that hit the pedestrian. Deputies say that the vehicle had returned to the scene and remained there until law enforcement arrived.

Life-saving measures were performed at the scene; however, they were unsuccessful, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was identified as a 65-year-old man from New Berlin.
After a preliminary investigation was conducted, the driver, later identified as 50-year-old Rashad R. Johnson from Norman, Oklahoma, was arrested for Homicide by Negligent Use of a Motor Vehicle.
Local authorities are continuing to investigate the incident. No additional details have been provided.
