(WFRV) – A southern Wisconsin man faces heavy prison time following a jury trial that led to his conviction for multiple violent offenses relating to child abuse and sexual assault.
Oklahoma man arrested for homicide after hitting, killing Wisconsin pedestrian
Court records show that 65-year-old David Boyd was in court on Friday as the jury returned with verdicts on the following charges:
- Repeated sexual assault of a child
- Convicted—faces up to 60 years in prison
- Physical abuse of a child, use of a dangerous weapon
- Convicted—faces up to six years in prison, possibly an additional six years for a dangerous weapon
- Trafficking of a child
- Convicted—faces up to 40 years in prison
- False imprisonment
- Convicted—faces up to six years in prison
- Repeated sexual assault of a child
- Convicted—faces up to 60 years in prison
The criminal complaint against Boyd detailed an underage victim who told authorities that they were sexually assaulted by their grand-godmother’s boyfriend, Boyd, when they were between eight and nine years old.
14-year-old reported missing out of Sheboygan County after making ‘concerning statements’
In addition, the victim told authorities that they were chained to a pole in a basement, denied food and held against their will long enough to miss multiple days of school while being forced to drink water off the floor
Boyd’s sentencing hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. on July 16.
