GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) — Green Bay’s rookie minicamp doesn’t come with a syllabus—but if it did, Day 1 would look a lot like the first day of school.

As players walked in for the first time wearing Packers gear, for many, it was the realization of a lifelong dream: stepping into an NFL building not as a visitor, but as a player.
“Just super excited… it kind of gave me chills,” Packers rookie cornerback Brandon Cisse said. “Obviously, the team has won 13 championships, so we’re trying to get our 14th. Whatever I can do to help right away, I’m going to do that.”
“I see why everybody loves this organization. It feels surreal… like a kid in a candy store. My eyes are wide, just grateful for the opportunity,” Packers rookie cornerback Domani Jackson said.
And the history embedded within the Packers organization isn’t lost on any of these guys, even the rookies acknowledging the greatness that’s come before them in Green Bay.

“It almost feels like Green Bay created football in a way, the history here,” Packers rookie offensive lineman Jager Burton said. “Just being here feels surreal.”
All six of the Packers’ draft picks were in attendance, along with some other notable names in attendance as well. Including former Bears wide receiver Chase Claypool, Isaiah Jacobs (the younger brother of Packers running back Josh Jacobs), and former West De Pere long snapper Brett Welsing who were all brought in by the organization as try out players.
