March starts with near record warmth

From Storm Team 5…

Not quite as windy on Saturday. You’ll get a mix of sunshine and fair weather clouds. Temperatures increase to 57 degrees, knocking on the door of the current record of 57 degrees from 1964.

Another nice day Sunday, but quite windy as a cold front approaches the state. Partly cloudy and highs reach into the upper 50s to lower 60s. Wind gusts could top 30 or 40 miles per hour. The record high is 62 from 1894. In the evening/overnight, that aforementioned cold front could bring some light rain or sprinkles, however, the best rain chance will be with scattered showers or thunderstorms on Monday.
