UPDATE: Over 40K Wisconsinites without power due to strong winds and snow

(WFRV) – Power outages continue to rise in northeast Wisconsin, with over 40,000 customers from We Energies and WPS affected.

As of 8:00 p.m., WPS is reporting 387 outages that are affecting 24,620 customers. Marinette County has the most customers without power at 10,742, while Door, Menominee, and Oconto all have over 3,000.

As for We Energies, Outagamie County has the most customers without power at 5,793, followed by Waupaca and Winnebago at just under 4,000.

Power outages from April snowstorm reported throughout northeast Wisconsin

(WFRV) – With high winds and snowy conditions, thousands of Wisconsin Public Service and We Energies customers have lost power due to downed power lines.

According to the WPS Outage Map, just under 10,000 customers are out of service, with 177 total outages.

Oconto, Portage, Door, Brown, and Marinette County all have at least 1,000 customers without power. Crews are responding to the scenes and working to fix the issue.

Additionally, We Energies is reporting a similar number of individuals without power. Outagamie, Shawano, Waukesha, and Winnebago County each have over 1,000 customers without power.

The number of individuals without power could go up as we move into the tougher part of this April snowstorm. Local 5 News will continue to update you on power outages.
