Police: Fine for illegally passing a stopped school bus in Wisconsin has gone up, reminder on laws

MUSKEGO, Wis. (WFRV) – A police department in Wisconsin issued a reminder to motorists regarding stopped school buses and the increase in the fine.

The Muskego Police Department posted on its Facebook page reminding motorists about illegally passing a stopped school bus. Authorities said the fine has increased to $1,321.

A school resource officer with the department reportedly spoke with local school bus drivers who said that illegal passing was their number one concern and complaint.
