GREENVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – Chaska Golf Course in Greenville celebrated its 50th year in operation on Friday with several activities on the course.
The par-72 course features four sets of tees to accommodate every player’s ability. With a 129 slope rating, Chaska is considered one of the more challenging courses in the area, but that doesn’t stop golfers from enjoying the experience.

“Chaska Golf Course has an abundance of features which place the course in a superior position with relation to all others,” said course designer Larry Packard.
Among those features: all 18 holes are different lengths, requiring players to use every club in the bag. Each set of nine holes includes two par 3s, five par 4s, and two par 5s. Every green varies in size, shape, and contour, corresponding to the length of the approach shot.
The par 5s, while offering easier opportunities to make par, are tough to birdie because of well-placed bunkers that force approach shots to favor the right or left side. The bunkers themselves are large and strategically located, often compelling players to aim for the center of the fairway or risk a bogey — or worse.
Together, these elements give Chaska a balanced layout and provide golfers with a unique set of challenges throughout the course.
