MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WFRV) – Following a head-on crash Sunday evening in Fond du Lac County three adults have minor injuries while a 4-year-old passenger suffered a significant head injury.
According to a release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 6:15 p.m. to County Highway G near County Highway GG in the Township of Marshfield for a reported two-vehicle head-on crash.

Officials determined that a southbound vehicle driven by a 26-year-old woman from Illinois crossed the center line of County Highway G while attempting to negotiate a curve and wound up crashing head-on with a northbound vehicle.
The 26-year-old driver had only minor injuries that were treated at St. Anges Hospital, however, her 4-year-old backseat passenger was said to have suffered a significant head injury and was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Milwaukee for further care.
The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 51-year-old St. Cloud man, and his passenger, a 50-year-old St. Cloud woman, were treated for minor injuries at St. Agnes Hospital.
Following the crash, deputies say the 26-year-old Illinois woman was issued the following citations:
- Operating a vehicle left of center causing injury
- Operating a motor vehicle with a child aged 4-8 years old not in a proper restraint seat

County Highway G was said to have been shut down for two and a half hours while crews worked to clear the crash scene.
No other information is available at this time, and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
