GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – After finishing the non-conference part of the schedule with a 7-5 record, the Green Bay women’s basketball squad has hit a historic stride, winners of their last 18 games. The Phoenix haven’t lost in the months of January and February for the first time since the 2012-2013 season.
But it wasn’t always smooth sailing for Green Bay, especially making the adjustment from longtime head coach Kevin Borseth to former Phoenix forward Kayla Karius. However, the seven seniors on this season’s team have made the transition seem easier than expected.
Hear from Karius, as well as seniors Natalie McNeal and Jasmine Kondrakiewicz, in the video above, as the Phoenix eye 19 in a row to end the year with a possible conference championship-clinching victory on Saturday against Purdue Fort Wayne.
