GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Police Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, and other local agencies participated in the 2024 Green Bay Area Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics of Wisconsin on Monday.
Law enforcement, Special Olympians, family, friends, and the public gathered at Ledgeview Park to watch several people bike, rollerblade, run, and walk a 12-mile route along the East River Trail.
Following the event, a private picnic lunch sponsored by Mission BBQ, serving up some of the area’s best brisket was ready for participants.
