OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – The Oshkosh Police Department is investigating two separate incidents involving gunshots on Wednesday night and working to determine if the two were related.
1100 block of Cherry Street – 5:45 p.m.
According to a release, the first incident occurred around 5:45 p.m. when officers were dispatched to a report of gunshots in the 1100 block of Cherry Street. Officers found multiple people in a vehicle.

The individuals were detained and a search of the vehicle unveiled a handgun and marijuana. The department also received information later that another subject fled on foot, and remains to be seen. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department at (920) 236-5700.
A search at another residence revealed an additional handgun and more marijuana, and a 19-year-old Neenah man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, his second offense of marijuana possession and felony bail jumping.
Another person, a 16-year-old Oshkosh boy, is being referred to the Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office for possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of a dangerous weapon as a minor.
The Cherry Street incident is currently believed to be isolated and nobody else is in harm’s way. No injuries were reported.
300 block of Dove Street – 10:35 p.m.
The second incident occurred about five hours later, as officers were sent to another weapons call for reported gun shots at roughly 10:35 p.m. in the 300 block of Dove Street.
Numerous reports of gunshots were made, as an unknown suspect was seen firing at a resident and fleeing in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Detectives are investigating the incidents; however, it is currently unclear if the two incidents were linked.
