According to a release from WisDOT, the closure will start on Monday, March 3, and last into an unspecified date during the summer of 2025 for reconstruction work.

Officials say the reconstruction work will include the following:

  • Adding auxiliary lanes between the WIS 96 and WIS 15 interchanges
  • Constructing dual turn lanes on the SB off-ramp
  • Adding bicycle and pedestrian accommodations within the project limits

WisDOT adds that this work is a part of the larger overall I-41 major project that is expected to reconstruct and expand 23 miles of I-41 from four to six lanes between WIS 96/Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton to County F/Scheuring Road in De Pere.
