SWAT arrests Wisconsin man wanted for child neglect, theft, and more

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – A 39-year-old Wisconsin man with active warrants is now in custody after being arrested by SWAT on Sunday.

According to a release from the Janesville Police Department, officers responded to the 2000 block of South Osborne Avenue after receiving word that a man with active warrants through the Janesville and Beloit Police Departments was in the area.

After allegedly failing to comply with patrol officers on the scene, Janesville SWAT was activated, and they took the man into custody inside a home.

39-year-old Justin Gillespie was arrested on the following active warrant charges:

  • Manufacture/Deliver of cocaine
  • Child Neglect
  • Retail Theft
  • Felony Bail Jumping

Gillespie is being held in the Rock County Jail. No other information is available.
