UPDATE: Crash cleared, All lanes of I-43 South in Green Bay now open

WEDNESDAY, 2/19/2025, 8:46 a.m.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Green Bay say the multi-vehicle crash scene on I-43 South on the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge is now clear and all lanes are open.

According to both WisDOT and the Green Bay Police Department, the crash scene was cleared as of 8:35 a.m.

All lanes of I-43 on the Leo Frigo, including both the southbound and northbound lanes, are now open to drivers.

The closure of I-43 South lasted approximately 51 minutes during which time I-43 North had limited access.

All lanes of I-43 South in Green Bay closed due to multi-vehicle crash

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials say all lanes of I-43 South leading to the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge in Green Bay are closed due to a multi-vehicle crash.

According to a release from WisDOT, the crash occurred at 7:44 a.m. and has shut down all lanes of I-43 South starting at Atkinson Drive.

Traffic appears to be backed up from the Atkinson Drive exit to almost all the way back at I-41 as a result of the closure.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is currently on the scene working to clear the crash which is expected to take about an hour.

The Green Bay Police Department says one non-life-threatening injury has been reported from the scene of the crash.

At the same time, there is also limited access to I-43 North in the same area for rescue operations.
